The basic
skills can be divided into six categories: entangling, twirling, shaping, bending, binding and plating.
1. Entangling: The wrapping of the
paper cuts and iron wires with silk threads, in a neat
manner, by loosening up, tightening, and then loosening up
and tightening.
2. Twirling: the
twirling of silk threads with the Index
figure and the
thumb, to closely entangle the threads onto the iron wires,
for the making of a deer horn, turtle foot, bird beak or
guava flower end.
3. Shaping: The
combination of single paper cuts with threads into a basis
design. 4.
Bending: The use of a pincer to twist or bend the paper and
iron wires into the desired shape.
5. Binding: the
binding of entangled flowers together into a shape.
6. Plating: the attachment of golden
or silver foil to flowers with silk threads.
|
Creation of entangled flowers step-by-step:
1. Drawing: Drawing of a bow shape (a.k.a. a half moon or a lip shape) on paper board.
2. Cutting: the cutting of the “bow” shaped paper.
3. Entangling: the main process.
4. Combining: the combination of all the entangled pieces of paper.
5. Decorating: Using color paper, beads and semi-precious stores, usually with golden foil.
