Guide at Navigation Area
I got up early this morning from my
warm bed. I finished washing my face as fast as
possible. Then, I grabbed my bag and set off with a
smile more professional than a model. When I arrived at
the gate of our school, I saw my three teachers and
classmates were waiting on a bus. Though it was a bit
far from Lukang to Tainan, we arrived at our
destination, Tianan Living Art Center, very soon while
fighting for fun. |
|
|
After arriving
at Tainan Living Art Center, we took a group photo with
Master Shih. |
Ms.Yu-hsuan introduced the work, Harvest, who knew every
aquatic creature in the work! |
|
|
The five
statues introduced by Ms. Yi-yun were called "Five
Senses" altogether--hearing, vision, smell, touch, and
taste. On the statue of hearing, there are patterns of
ears. My sister was very smart and figured out the names
of the rest four statues. |
The work
introduced by Ms. Mei-chun was called "Concept". The
rising eyes and traditional techniques were adopted to
present the movement of the two mice snatching for
ingots and the influence of 2008 financial crisis on the
society. In a money-oriented environment, how should
people use money and comprehend its meaning? |
|
|
The works
explained by Mr. Fu-yuan was called Succeed. It was
formed by little boys one by one higher and higher. A
baby boy was sitting on the shoulder of an adult to
symbolize the hope of success. |
The work
introduced by Mr. Yi-da was named A Carp Jumping the
Dragon Gate". A saw stood for limits. And the carp
wanted to "breakthrough" it. The work also stood for the
breakthrough in woodcarving industry from tradition to
modernity. |
|
|
Mr.Tse-chi saw
that the lady was interested in the statue, so he went
there to explain her affection between the grandmother
and the grandson. |
After
explanation, all of us took a group photo with
professional poses and smiles. |

Tainan Volunteers of DIY Activity
After leading visitors watch the works of Master
Shih, we ushered them to the DIY classroom. This photo
is about our preparation before DIY activity. |
|
|
We are helping
arrange Master Shih's works for the reference of
visitors. |
|
|
We then
begin to place raw materials. After that, DIY activity
starts. |
|
|
We are
teaching young children how to paint with colors. |
|
|
We help change
water and check if any visitors need more colors. |
|
|
We help kids
add glitter powder and use drier to dry the colors.
Done! |
